NEW & DIGITAL LITERACIES TO CHANGE EDUCATION

Digital Platform Explanation

I chose to use Wix as my digital platform for this multimodal composition after using it for my first major project in the program.  I looked online for a website creator or blog creator and after experimenting with them this one was the easiest to maneuver through.  I also really liked how easy it was to make the different tabs/pages you see at the top to move through the different aspects of my project.  Since starting this I was a bit overwhelmed since I've never made anything except a Pinterest board before.  Now I feel as though I could create a teacher blog to continue on my site to document my future learning and ideas.  The majority of the resources you see on each page were found on Pinterest from other educators.  My next step will be to start adding my own resources to the digital world!

Providing educators with some resources and ideas about the New & Digital Literacies in relation to our content areas, especially science.  My goal is to improve engagement, comprehension, and motivation in my middle school science classroom.
